Abstract

The paper deals with cognitive psychology and various procedures used in cognitive therapy. In pedagogy, the cognitive approach led to the emergence of cognitive and constructivist pedagogy. The paper points at links between cognitive psychology and transactional analysis. The prospect for the presence of the cognitive approach in educational transactional analysis should be associated with appreciation of the role and significance of the Adult ego state in teaching and learning.
