Abstract




The article presents an attempt at the analysis of a movie entitled August: Osage County from the perspective of one of the most important Transacional Analysis categories, life script. This movie presents the story of a dysfunctional family from Missouri, in which parents’ destructive patterns of behavior destroy the lives of the next generation.

Absolwentka filologii polskiej i filozofii, obecnie w trakcie studiów doktoranc-kich z zakresu literaturoznawstwa w Akademii im. Jana Długosza w Częstocho-wie. Z uczelnią tą wiązana jest również zawodowo, od trzech lat pracuje na sta- nowisku redaktora w Wydawnictwie Akademii. Jej zainteresowania badawczekoncentrują się wokół wieloaspektowej analizy i interpretacji dramatu.
