Abstrakt

The article presents the use of transactional analysis as a research method to interpret a dra- matic text. The author’s objective was to describe the relationships between the characters and to explain the reasons for their behavior using transactional analysis. The drama of an Austrian play- wright Herbert Berger When a little bird falls out of the nest was used to show, how useful TA can be in literary studies. A psychological game identified in the text was analyzed with regard to its constitutive elements.
