Abstract

The finals of the 1st National Youth Spartakiad (NYS) were organized in 1969 on the territory of wrocławskie and poznańskie province. The qualifiers for the 1st NYS were attended by several million young sportspeople who competed during school, borough, commune, municipal, regional, district and provincional spartakiads. The finals of the 1st NYS were held in 21 sports: boxing, sport acrobatics, sport gymnastics, judo, canoeing, road cycling, track cycling, men’s and women’s basketball, athtletics, archery, football, men’s and women’s handball, men’s and women’s volleyball, swimming, weightlifting, shooting sport, fencing, tennis, rowing, classical and freestyle wrestling and sailing.
