The title of our journal announces the format and thematic scope of the forthcoming issues. We hope to publish texts devoted to literary and cultural output related to the interwar period.
The academic profile of Czytanie dwudziestolecia is determined by literary studies with special emphasis put on the interwar period as a cultural phenomenon, which might be an object of an interdisciplinary reflection. This, as we hope, might be dedicated – but not limited – to such issues as:
- literary and cultural output of the interwar period read in a diachronic perspective in such contexts as history, philosophy, sociology, geopolitics, or the arts;
- re-readings of the highly acclaimed works of the period using innovative methodologies and modern contexts;
- in-depth readings of the selected works;
- readings of marginal yet interesting works, unwillingly discussed or entirely neglected in literary history;
- genre criticism in the context of the interwar period: transformations, experimentations, idiosyncrasies;
- memory and testimony (authors, genres, manuscripts, archives);
- literary culture and the position of a writer in the interwar period; diverse aspects of literary, theatrical, music, or film culture from 1918 to 1939 and their advocates;
- Polish and international reception of the interwar period in contemporary literature;
- the interwar popular culture;
- comparative studies; the interwar period and European literature; the interwar period and the World literature.

Dear Readers,
We invite you to submit articles for the third issue of the journal "Czytanie Dwudziestolecia" Texts should primarily address the literature and broadly defined culture of the interwar period. We encourage you to reflect, among other things, on the connections between literature and politics – remembering that this year marks the centenary of the May Coup. Almost every literary fact is entangled in a specific ideological, social, and political context. Literature from the years 1918-1939 abounds with achievements confirming such connections. The variety of tools used by writers, allowing them to give the world the views they express, is both astonishing and noteworthy.
We encourage you to submit book reviews and reports from conferences held at your research centers and devoted to the interwar period and the cultural formation of that period. We also request information about publications on the period of interest. We would like to collaborate with you to create a chronicle of scholarly events related to the interwar period.
We would like to inform you that the Miscellaneous section also accepts texts concerning works created in both Polish and European literature of the 20th and 21st centuries, in various cultural contexts.
"Czytanie Dwudziestolecia" is not yet on the ministerial list of journals with a ranking. Therefore, we reiterate our request for your understanding and support in creating a journal thematically focused on interwar literature. We would once again like to express our sincere gratitude to all the authors who supported us by submitting articles to our journal. We thank you for your wonderful community solidarity.
