Edukacja Muzyczna (Musical Education) is a peer-reviewed scholarly journal dedicated to music, musical culture, and music education. The journal publishes original research in the fields of arts studies and musical arts. Its mission is to disseminate knowledge and support the advancement of research on various aspects of music from historical, theoretical, aesthetic, cultural, performance, and pedagogical perspectives.
The journal provides a platform for scholarly exchange among researchers representing diverse areas of musicology and related disciplines. Published articles address topics in music history, music theory and analysis, music source studies, early music, ethnomusicology, philosophy and aesthetics of music, musical performance, composition, conducting, vocal studies, music perception, musical culture, as well as music pedagogy and music education.
Particular attention is devoted to research on the musical heritage of Central and Eastern Europe, the work of composers and performers, musical sources, transformations of musical culture, and issues related to music education at various levels of instruction. The journal publishes both historical and theoretical studies as well as contributions addressing contemporary research problems concerning music and its role within culture.
Authors contributing to the journal represent numerous academic, artistic, and educational institutions in Poland and abroad. The journal publishes work by scholars from Poland as well as other European and Asian countries, thereby fostering the internationalization of scholarly discourse and encouraging the exchange of research perspectives. The Editorial Board welcomes submissions from both established scholars and early-career researchers.
Edukacja Muzyczna is published according to the Diamond Open Access model. All articles are freely available under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) license, without publication or access fees for authors and readers. The editorial process is based on a double-blind peer-review system and adheres to the ethical standards recommended by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

Edukacja Muzyczna was established in 2005 on the initiative of Dr Marta Popowska. Between 2005 and 2009, it was published as a book series within the Scientific Publications of the Jan Długosz Academy in Częstochowa. Since 2010, it has functioned as a peer-reviewed scholarly journal devoted to music, musical culture, and music education.
In 2018, the journal adopted its current title, Edukacja Muzyczna (ISSN 2545-3068; eISSN 2719-4922), while maintaining continuity of numbering and preserving the scholarly profile developed since its inception. Since its establishment, the journal has systematically expanded its national and international reach by publishing contributions from researchers affiliated with numerous academic and artistic institutions in Poland and abroad.
