It is a peer-reviewed academic journal published annually by Jan Długosz University in Częstochowa. Dedicated to the study of the arts and musical sciences, it serves as a platform for musicologists, music theorists, artists, and scholars in the humanities exploring music-related topics from an interdisciplinary perspective.
The journal is included in the MNiSW (Ministry of Science and Higher Education) list of ranked journals (40 points) and is available in both electronic and print versions.

Czasopismo „Edukacja Muzyczna” objęło patronatem medialnym bezpłatne seminarium naukowe pt. „Społeczne funkcje muzyki a pilotaż w szkołach muzycznych (2012–2016)”, organizowane przez Fundację na rzecz promocji nauki i rozwoju TYGIEL.
Seminarium odbędzie się 8 października 2026 roku w formule online na platformie ClickMeeting. Spotkanie poprowadzi dr Joanna Niewiadomska-Kocik.
