The journal Educational Transactional Analysis adheres to the principles of publication ethics established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). The Editorial Board follows internationally recognized standards concerning research integrity, transparency of the publishing process, and the responsibilities of authors, reviewers, and editors.

Authors’ Responsibilities

Authors must submit only original manuscripts prepared in accordance with the principles of research integrity. All sources, data, figures, and results obtained from the work of others must be properly cited and acknowledged.

Simultaneous submission of the same manuscript to more than one journal is considered unethical and is not permitted. Manuscripts should not have been previously published in the same or substantially similar form, except for acceptable prior dissemination such as preprints or limited-distribution conference materials.

Authors are required to disclose the actual contribution of each co-author to the manuscript. The Editorial Board opposes all forms of ghostwriting and guest authorship. Upon submission, authors are required to provide appropriate statements confirming the originality of the manuscript and the authenticity of authorship.

If the research described in the manuscript was supported by external funding, the source of funding must be disclosed.

Editorial Responsibilities

The Editorial Board ensures an impartial evaluation of all submitted manuscripts, maintains the confidentiality of the peer-review process, and makes editorial decisions solely on the basis of the scholarly quality of the submission.

If a breach of publication ethics is confirmed, the Editorial Board will take appropriate action, which may include publishing a correction, retracting the article, and notifying the relevant institutions or scholarly organizations.

Plagiarism Screening Policy

All submitted manuscripts may be screened using iThenticate plagiarism detection software to identify textual similarities with previously published works.

If plagiarism, self-plagiarism, or any other form of research misconduct is identified, the Editorial Board may reject the manuscript prior to publication or, if the misconduct is discovered after publication, initiate appropriate procedures in accordance with COPE guidelines.

Copyright Infringement Procedure

All reports concerning potential copyright infringement are treated promptly and confidentially. The Editorial Board investigates each case, contacts the author(s), and, where appropriate, the complainant or the copyright holder.

If copyright infringement is confirmed, the Editorial Board will take appropriate corrective action, including, where necessary, publishing a correction, retracting the article, removing infringing material, and notifying the relevant institutions. All cases are handled in accordance with COPE guidelines and applicable copyright law.

Open Access and Copyright Policy

The journal provides immediate and free open access to all published content in order to promote the unrestricted dissemination of scientific knowledge.

Authors retain the copyright to their work and grant the Publisher a non-exclusive license to publish and distribute the article.

All articles are published under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) license, which permits use, sharing, adaptation, distribution, and reproduction in any medium or format, including for commercial purposes, provided that appropriate credit is given to the original author(s) and the source of publication.
