Abstract

This article addresses the issue of sustainable development in economics. It highlights the dif-ferences between economic growth and development and presents indicators used to measure economic and social development. Development inequality, including poverty, remains a significant problem. Despite significant progress in combating it, it remains a global issue. Responsible management of natural resources poses a significant challenge to the economic policies of states and institutions; however, this requires a shift in approach and philosophy of conducting business from extensive to inclusive.
