The idea of combining scientific interests with personal activities and interests, incidentally mu- sical, has appeared already during the 5-year pedagogical studies in the specialization of care and resocialisation. It resulted in a research project which concerned the use of musical activities with elements of music therapy in the process of resocialisation of minors. Consequently, it was decided to conduct research aimed at gathering the opinions of minors and teaching staff on musical activ- ities with elements of music therapy, which was carried out in selected Youth Educational Centers. The research project confirmed the thesis that music classes with elements of music therapy can be an effective therapeutic technique in the process of resocialisation of minors, according to the opin- ion of the pedagogical staff and of the girls participating in these classes.
