The Editorial Board of the academic journal Edukacja Muzyczna invites scholars to submit manuscripts for Volume 21 of the journal.

The journal publishes original research articles in the fields of music education, music pedagogy, musicology and other areas related to musical arts and music research.

For the forthcoming volume we particularly welcome papers addressing contemporary challenges in music education in an international context, including (but not limited to) the following topics:

• music education in the digital age

• the use of new technologies and artificial intelligence in music teaching and learning

• interdisciplinary approaches in music education research

• creativity, improvisation and composition in music education

• training of music teachers in the 21st century

• intercultural perspectives in music education

At the same time, the journal welcomes submissions on other topics related to music education, music pedagogy, music theory, music history and research on musical arts.

We also encourage the submission of review articles presenting the current state of research in selected areas of music education and musicology.

Submissions from international authors and papers written in English are particularly welcome. Comparative and internationally oriented studies are especially encouraged.

The journal also publishes:

• book reviews

• reports from scholarly conferences and artistic-academic events

Manuscripts are processed in the order of submission.

All manuscripts should be submitted via the journal’s editorial platform.

Edukacja Muzyczna is published in the Open Access model. The journal does not charge any submission or publication fees.

Information for publishers

Publishers of musicological and music education publications (including monographs, edited volumes, critical editions, source publications and catalogues of musical collections) are invited to send copies of their books to the editorial office.

Selected publications will be reviewed in the journal. All received books will be listed in the section “Books Received / New Publications” together with a short description of their content.
