Organizacja i rozwój Żeńskiego Seminarium Nauczycielskiego w Częstochowie w latach 1914-1936. Zarys problematyki

Abstrakt

Seminary was established in the year 1914. It was an institution intended to serve the needs of young women only. Until the year 1928, it had been functioning as a private institution, and had changed hands several times. In connection with financial difficulties, in the year 1928 the management of seminary was taken over by the Commune of the City of Częstochowa. Throughout the 22 years of its existence, the institution employed more than 80 teachers. Due to the fragmentary character of source material, it is difficult to determine the number of the graduates of this institution, which was struggling against financial difficulties and found it hard to secure appropriate premises for itself. It was dissolved in the year 1936 in connection with the provision of the reform enacted in the year 1932.
