Abstract

The new requirements of the society to the graduates are conditioned by the development of a new type of economy, which presupposes the existence of intellectual, communicative, self-organizing, spiritual and moral principles in the activities of a specialist.  The competence approach to education is currently being considered as a means of its modernization and claims to be the conceptual foundations of educational policy and manifests itself as a result of the ability of a graduate to operate effectively beyond the standard learning situations i.e. to simultaneously design academic knowledge and competence, when requested a certain amount of professional knowledge and skills and competences that are typical for any profession.
