Abstract

The article concerns the popularization of Maria Montessori's pedagogical system in the pedagogical journal  „Education in Kindergarten”  in 1989–2017. It presents the quantitative share of texts published on the pages of the  journal regarding  to the Montessori pedagogical system. Substantive analysis of these texts indicates the life and activity of Maria Montessori, the principles of education in Montessori pedagogy, the role of Montessori teacher, developmental aids. Also the article discusses the problem of Montessori therapy and shows the use of Montessori pedagogy in interwar Poland and in the modern system of education in the Netherlands.
