The journal has been published since 1989, providing a platform for 

presenting research results and exchanging scientific ideas in the broadly understood field

 of educational sciences, contributing to the development of the discipline of pedagogy

 in Poland and worldwide. It is an annual magazine addressed to teachers, pedagogues, 

psychologists and other people professionally associated with educational, 

upbringing and care institutions. The journal's purpose is to present the latest research

 results in the field of education and upbringing and to provide a historical reflection 

on the changes taking place in contemporary education in Poland and around the world. 

Texts are published in Polish (disseminating and popularizing Polish science and culture), 

as well as English and Ukrainian (giving the journal an international format). The substantive

 level of published articles is ensured by an international team of scientists who make up 

the Scientific Council, as well as reviewers specializing in the issues addressed in the texts. In addition to original scientific articles, the periodical also publishes other forms of scholarly expression, such as review articles, report reviews, and conference reports.

Pedagogics is indexed in: ERIH+, Polish Scientific Bibliography (Polska Bibliografia Naukowa), Pol-Index,Bazhum,Index Copernicus oraz CEEOL (Central and Eastern European Online Library GmbH).
