Musical amateur movement in Silesia has long and rich traditions, reaching the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries – apart from choral groups along with industry development, brass bands were taking activity.
In order to specify number, organizational status, age structure, artistic con- dition, repertoire of the associated in Silesian Department of Polish Union of Choirs and Brass Band Orchestra, there was polled public opinion.
