Author Guidelines

The Sport and Tourism Central European Journal (STCEJ) welcomes submissions from researchers worldwide in areas covered by the Journal's Aims and Scope .

Article types

The Journal considers the following types of manuscripts:

  • Original Research Articles
  • Review Articles, including systematic, scoping, and narrative reviews
  • Theoretical and Methodological Papers
  • Historical and Humanities Studies
  • Discussion and Polemical Papers

The structure of the manuscript should be appropriate to the article type and field of research.

Language

The Journal publishes primarily in English. Authors may use either British or American English, provided that the chosen variant is used consistently throughout the manuscript.

Manuscripts should be written in clear academic English. Submissions requiring substantial language revision may be returned to the authors before peer review.

Submission

Manuscripts must be submitted through the Journal's online submission system.

Before submission, authors should consult the following instructions:

  • Manuscript Preparation – manuscript structure, formatting, tables, figures, and anonymization;
  • Declarations and Required Statements – authorship, research ethics, informed consent, funding, conflicts of interest, AI use, and other required declarations;
  • References and Citation Style – citation and reference requirements;
  • Submission Checklist – files and information required before completing the submission.

Authors should also familiarize themselves with the Journal's Ethics Policy, Publishing Policies, and AI Policy.

Peer review and fees

Research manuscripts are subject to double-blind peer review and are normally evaluated by at least two independent reviewers.

The Journal does not charge submission or publication fees.
