The economic growth of Czestochowa in the beginning of the XX th century caused the development of sport in the city and it’s vicinity. The arrival of workers from other regions and countries to factories in Czestocowa triggered the formation of several soccer teams. The newly established football clubs began to compete with teams from other cities like Sosnowiec, Piotrkow or Lodz. In that period teams representing factories like La Czenstochovienne, Motte Meillassoux et Caullies and Peltzer et Fils played the highest number of matches. Also the schoolchildren representing the I Polish middle school, Philological middle school or the former Governmental middle school played soccer matches at that time. The lack of infrastructure and coaching staff were visible in the early stage of development of football in Czestochowa.
