Participation of military chaplains in international missions abroad

Abstract

As part of the pastoral service in the Military Ordinariate, in addition to the basic tasks in the country, participation in missions abroad is also assigned. Since 1990, military chaplains have been actively involved in missions organized by the UN, NATO and the EU. The form and scope of service are regulated by individual legal provisions from both the Ministry of National Defense and the Catholic Church. The aim of the publication is to show the presence of military chaplains in international missions abroad in the years 1990–2023.
