Abstract

Since the 1980s, Poland has seen a steady increase in the share of people aged 60+ in society. This phenomenon is connected with a fundamental technological revolution, especially in social communication. In the past, the ability to read and write was enough to communicate remotely, but today, with the development of information technology, knowledge of how to use many devices and communicators is necessary to avoid social exclusion. This creates many problems for older people in mastering technologies they had no contact with in their youth. But this revolution also brings about positive phenomena, which we will mention later.
