Abstract

The article presents various concepts concerning the nature and role of war in society. In the first approach, this phenomenon is embedded in the nature of people and humanity, which means that without a war there is no man, civilization and culture, there is also no men’s life, society or state, therefore a war is natural and necessary for life. In the second case a war is not embedded in the nature of people, but it is understood as a distortion in the community life and in the relation between people. This means that if wars occur, they are an expression of demoralization, destruction of man and society. These extreme views appear in the eternal discussion of war.
