Abstract

The article presents the impact of special operations on the security policy of the Second
Polish Republic. Particular attention has been given to events related to special activities during
the Polish-Bolshevik war of 1919–1920, three Silesian uprisings, as well as special activities conducted
by Poland in 1922–1939. This particular type of combat operations was an effective and
sometimes also a basic form of combat, such as during the third Silesian uprising, or served as
a support during the war with Soviet Russia. The activities described in this article constitute only
a small part of the rich history of Polish special forces, whose greatest development should be associated
primarily with the period of World War II.
