European strategic autonomy in the Polish security policy

Abstract

The aim of the article is to present and evaluate reforms, which were implemented by the European
Union to increase its defense potential. For the activation of permanent structured cooperation
in the field of the Common Security and Defense Policy (PESCO) has had a the threat from
Russia, Brexit and the adoption of the European Global Strategy. There are 34 defense and training
projects to improve the quality of the European security system. For Poland and The Central
Europe canters the most important is Military Mobility. It aims to guarantee the unhindered
movement of military personnel and assets within the borders of the EU. EU Member States to
help each other to ensure higher level of cyber resilience and to collectively respond to cyber incidents.
