Some Aspects of the Amoral Negotiations of the States

Abstract

The article focuses on the issue of the negotiations, in particular on their morality (immorality) aspects. In the context of international negotiations the author distinguishes between different types of political strategies and tactics. There are shown methods used by the negotiators and the role of psychological impact on the partner. Also the characteristics of fair negotiations are indicated, the usage of correct arguments that favour equality of the parties. Also the issue of the language of the negotiations is raised and its validity in relation to guarantee the same level of perception of the talks. The author pointed out the essence of the behaviour characteristics of the sover-eignty and equality of states to preserve the balance of partners. Then she signals the use of immoral practices, such as putting diplomatic pressure or ultimatum. The paper highlights the problematic relations with the countries of the Middle East, due to differences in the economic, cultural and religious circumstances. Negative or even vicious methods accompanying such negotiations – eavesdropping was presented on the example of the US practice. The article indicates the ethical issues that may arise on the basis of the negotiating countries and calls for the creation of a hierarchy system of international problems which facilitate the course of the negotiation.
