Research on the Declining Years of British Domination in the Kingdom of Jordan (1953–1956)

This article shows process of decline British interference in Jordan and the analysis of reasons. The first well-known cause was development of pan-Arabic
movement, which the main demand was removement of European domination in this part of the world. At the beginning of Hussein I rule he had to consider anti-British moods of his subjects. The second reason, not very often mention, was the conflict between Israel and Jordan. The UK was in alliance with Amman and had to defend Hashimte monarchy. This alliance with Jordan became politically hazardous for British. The author based his article on British sources tries to emphasize those two issues.
