Journal's procedures for peer review
The magazine is an annual periodical publication. The editorial board accepts papers, reviews and conference reports throughout the entire year.
The initial phase of the editorial procedure is to subject the materials being contributed to assessment in the formal aspect, and also in the content-related one, to be conducted by the topical editors of the magazine. The texts meeting the requirements relevant to the scope of the subject-matters to which the magazine is dedicated, whilst, on the other hand, not conforming to the procedure adopted in the magazine, shall be returned to the authors, accompanied by suggestions on how they ought to be improved and completed.
After having been preliminarily qualified for publication, a paper is assigned an identification code, which remains valid throughout the process of reviewing, and is afterwards forwarded to two external and independent reviewers. Both the reviewers, and the author, remain anonymous to one another (double-blind review process). The reviewers assess a paper in the accordance with the criteria set forth in the review form, and, in the recapitulation, declare conclusively whether a paper can be published as it is now, after making form-related corrections, major improvements and content-related modifications (in that case, recommendations relevant to the required improvements and content-related modifications are to be provided), or, alternatively, state that a paper has to be rejected. Should a paper receive a positive assessment from one reviewer, and a negative one from the other, it is forwarded to the third reviewer, the assessment of whom determines whether a paper is accepted for publication. The comments of the reviewers are forwarded to the author, who ought to take them under consideration (if the author does not agree with a given comment, a justification for this objection has to be provided). The improved/modified version of a paper is one more time forwarded to the reviewer, who verifies whether their comments have been under consideration by the author.
The author of a paper accepted for publication is requested to complete a copyright transfer agreement.
List of the reviewers is available on the website of the magazine.
