The aim of the study presented in this article was to learn about the similarities and differences in ways of perceiving the adulthood of children with disabilities by their mothers. 120 mothers of children with disabilities participated in the study, including 30 mothers of children with physical disabilities, 30 mothers of children with intellectual disability, 30 mothers of children with visual disabilities and 30 mothers of children with auditory disabilities. A research tool was used, which was a questionnaire of own authorship. Obtained research results clearly indicate that the greatest impact on the perception of adulthood of children with disabilities by the examined mothers has the type of disability that the child has. Mothers of children with intellectual disabilities are the most pessimistic about their future. Among other factors that differentiate the visions of adulthood of children with disabilities, presented by the examined mothers, is the form of education used by the child with disability and the level of social support received by the mother.
