Analysis of the State of Disability-Free Life Expectancy in Poland

Abstract

The paper discusses a method for simultaneous calculating the disability and the mortality in a given population. The method was first introduced by D.F. Sullivan.

The main purpose of this article is to calculate Disability Free life expectancy (DFLE) for men and women in different age brackets in Poland in 2004 and 2009. Another purpose of the article is trying to compare and evaluate the state of Disability Free Life Expectancy for men and women in Poland.
