Factors of Non Financial Employees’ Motivation in the Size-diversified Companies

Abstract

The main purpose is to present results of the research related to Polish employees’ preferences referring to non financial motivation factors in sizediversified companies. Then the preferences have been compared with the effects of non financial incentive.

Subject of the research is: employees’ preferences referring to the non financial aspects of motivation.

Representative test is a group of 1161 persons. The inquired employees come form 61 companies, approximately 50% of them situated in southern Poland.

Two-part questionnaire (including 25 questions) has been used in the research. Issues relate to 13 inner motivational factors (referring to work subject) and 12 to external motivational factors (referring to work environment).

The first part of questionnaire shows which factors and to what degree motivate employees to work. The second part presents to what extend a company in which they work meet requirements in this scope.

Concept of motivational difference has been defined and used in the analysis of employees’ preferences in the size diversified companies.
