Abstract

Trade relations with other countries are an important aspect of the development of modern countries. The subject of this article is the analysis of Polish foreign trade with neighboring countries between 2018-2023. It also evaluates the GDP of the Republic of Po-land in the context of the Russian-Ukraine war. This study is of both an empirical and theoretical nature. The aim of this article is to present Poland’s foreign trade turnover with neigh-boring countries about the level of the Gross Domestic Product of the Republic of Poland in the years 2018-2023. The theoretical part of the study consists of the literature study method, whereas the empirical part was constructed based on own analysis of measures such as GDP, exports, imports, and the trade balance between Poland and neighboring nations. In the course of the research, the authors also determined the chain relative increases and the medium-period tempo of change of the analyzed values. The data used within the research is secondary in nature, with the main source being publications from the Central Statistical Office. The results obtained through the conducted research procedure indicate that the foreign trade turnover of the Republic of Poland with neighboring countries implies the level of development of the country and its society measured by the size of GDP.
