Abstract

Sustainable development is the doctrine of the economy, assuming the quality of life at the level allowed by the current civilization development. Sustainable development meets the basic needs of all people and preserves, protects and restores the health and integrity of the Earth's ecosystem, without jeopardizing the ability to meet the needs of future generations. Sustainable socio-economic development is one of the key challenges of the modern world. It covers the social, ecological and economic aspects. Sustainable development indicators are a basic monitoring tool, revealing in a measurable way the essence of this development concept. They enable the creation of a statistical image of the country from the point of view of the implementation of a new development paradigm. One of the indicators of the social order, concerning public health, includes the mortality rate for malignant tumors. To prevent this type of disease, it is necessary to educate the public in this area, which is possible with the help of social advertising. The main task of social advertising is to evoke socially desirable behaviors or attitudes among recipients, as it is a process of persuasive communication. The goal of the social campaign is to bring about a change in the existing reality, through unraveling, approximating specific phenomena, broadening knowledge about them, sensitizing society to expected issues and engaging in important social issues. Social campaigns use numerous tools, among which advertising is one of them. The task of social advertising is to achieve social goals. The author’s goal is to present social campaigns that have been implemented in the Arab countries, because many women's campaigns are organized in these countries. They pay much attention to preventive health. Public health is a field in which one of the indicators of the social order of the discussed convention is described, describing the mortality rate of malignant tumors. Education in this area is important in order to be able to prevent disease rather than cure it.
