Abstract

Innovation in broad terms, is seen as the driving force of the economy around the world. From the point of view of an operator it is an opportunity to achieve an appropriate, competitive position. Tourism in turn is based on the natural beauty of the appropriate land space use in order to meet expectations of tourists. So how do you see innovation in tourism? It can certainly be said that the relevant creation and then continuous improvement of the tourism product provide a large space for innovative actions. Customer service is significant as well. This area, in turn, requires a professional, empathic approach. This article presents innovation as an element of competitiveness in tourism. The results of research conducted in 100 agrotourist farms in the Warmia-Mazury. The obtained results confirm that the interest in innovation among the leading tourist farms is immense. It was found that it is one of the main elements that guarantee success in running agro-tourist business while providing a competitive advantage. In addition, the results obtained may serve as inspiration for research in the field of innovation in farm tourism in other provinces.
