Abstract

Entrepreneurship, in the most general sense, is an ability to see and use the emerging opportunities to meet specific needs. It is a willingness to take and creatively solve problems as well as flexibly adapt to changing conditions. Entrepreneurship is a set of attributes and behaviors relevant mainly to businessmen. The most important attributes of an entrepreneur are: initiative, creativity, risk-taking, self-confidence, optimism, the desire to succeed, ability to set goals and cooperate with others. One form of entrepreneurial mindset is to invest.

The article is dedicated to the issues of investment, which are an expression of. The paper presents the results of tests carried out on a population of master studies’ students supporting the Faculty of Economics on UW-M in Olsztyn. Research led among other things to determine the profile of the student-investor. After analyzing the data obtained from the diagnostic survey, it was possible to evaluate an investment knowledge and a degree of investment “involvement” of the students. Respondents pointed object, strategies, time and objectives of investing, sources and structure of financing.
