Computer with Internet Access as Indispensable Accessories of Modern Households – Objectives of the Use and the Threat of Internet

Abstract

The aim of the study is to assess the households equipped with computers and to examine the purposes for which Polish people use of your computer, also with access to the Internet and to show that, despite many positive features computer is a dangerous tool that can lead to addiction destroying the mental health and human physical performance. This applies particularly to the younger generation of Poles who can sit for hours in front of a computer screen playing computer games, surfing the web, or to participate in mailing lists, forums, chat rooms and social networks. Research period is 2004–2012.
