Ageing of Populations in European Countries

Abstract

The aim of this paper is presentation of changes in ageing of the populations and general health of elderly people in Poland and other European countries. Another aim of this paper is checking the level of changes in general state of health in groups of elderly people, the consequence of which is ageing to populations. The measure indicating the level of general good health of a population is Disability Free Life Expectancy – DFLE.
