Abstract

The purpose of this article is to present the case of how discount stores function in terms of urban planning. Text consists three parts. First presents spatial development of modern shopping centers. Second part describes development of discount stores in Polish cities and presents marketing researches. The last part describes in detail how discount stores have moved to small towns.
