Quasi venture capital investments and its influence on regional development in Poland

Abstract

Risk capital is a resource essential to the formation and growth of entrepreneurial ventures. The performance of the venture capital markets is a matter of fundamental concern to entrepreneurs, venture investors and to public officials. Results are fundamental instrument of estimate of activity venture capital funds. Efficiency of investment is basic factor to motivate managers for taking up of risk. Article stresses most important measures of efficiency of investment carried by venture capital funds. It presents detailed analysis of result achieved by funds on US and European markets.
