The role and importance of personnel selection officer in the functioning of modern military organization

Abstract

The Land Forces are changing constantly since Polish Armed Forces accession to western military structures, in both the technological and social. Legal and formal military requirements generate decisions and actions that make the Land Forces a modern organization. In this time the Land Forces are self-perfecting and developing the strength of their potential as well. The military officers are creators of this hard process. They represent the most important human resource of the military organization at all levels of command and in all aspects of the military functioning. Such an approach forces the role of officers in the personnel function of particular concern to the appropriate selection of staff officers, their development and improvement.
