Abstract

Photography as an illustration appears very often in children’s books. The

article will present literary contexts in which the expression photography appears,

understood as a picture or a photograph. However, this is not about the photographs

and illustrations posted in the books, but about the connotations associated

with this concept, which may appear to the young recipient while reading. The

meanings are distinguished: source of memories about the deceased, family photography,

record of past times, source of emotions, culinary photography, element

of professional life, advertisement, souvenir photo, scandal.
