Abstrakt

In 1772, the Ruthenian voivodeship was almost entirely within Austria. The exception was the Chełm land, which remained within the borders of Poland. In 1773, the Order of the Society of Jesus was suppressed. After the suppression, the schools run until now by the Society of Jesus in the lands of Poland ceased their activities. However, in Galicia ex Jesuits quickly were engaged for the instruction in their schools, but they were supervised by the Austrian government. In turn, the school in Krasnystaw was under the supervision of the National Education Commission. As a result, more than a dozen years after the formal liquidation of the Order, ex Jesuits engaged in youth education, teaching in state schools, created on the basis of their colleges. In turn, the school in Krasnystaw was under the supervision of the National Education Commission. Of all the teachers lecturing in the reorganized post-Jesuit schools, probably all of the teachers were from the group of ex Jesuits
