The activity in the field of physical activity was favoured with the operation of the Municipal and County Committee for Physical Education and Military Training in Lutsk. The developmen of sports infrastructure as well as trainings of personnel for the purpose of physical education and sport could be observed. In addition to physical education and sport at schools, a major role in the development of physical activity was played by youth and social organizations and associations, including: Railway Military Training, Gymnastic Society “Sokół” [Falcon], Volhynian Association of Rural Youth and Shooting Association. A significant role in sports activities was played by sports clubs. The sports structures established in Volyn, among others Lutsk-based district sports associations, were conducive to the development of this field of physical culture. Physical education and sport were practised among the Ukrainian population, among others through the activity of the Ukrainian Sports Club “Styr” Lutsk. In Volyn organisations such as “Płast” and “Junak” stood out with their activity.</a></span></span></p> ER -
